got used to
loving a bus stop
wrapped in messages that use
pictures, words, and letters
saying nothing, saying look at me
i’m all in your face anyway

got used to city lights and neons
bridges with names of dead people
places where all awaits
but nothing’s to be found

got used to sounds
twisted time beat
different river and the same effect
it has on me

got used to streets and sidewalks
older than anything i’ve ever seen
scluptures that reveal
my own secrets

got used to feelings mixing up
with daylight
got used to nights and days…
slowly getting used to myself.
