Prince Leorik

It was a beautiful day and our knight Leorik was on his castle.When he got up,the sun was on the sky shining into his face.He went out and saw a peaceful marketplace full of people,shops and stuff.Leorik is a prince and he’ll be a king too if his father will die.

Because he is rich and honourable,he visit a blacksmith on the marketplace.The smither called John showed him a crude long sword with a silver ornaments.It was a long,superior,fast and sharp weapon for one or two hands.After he bought this excellent sword,he was looking for some armor.Ring mail will give him enought protection against chops and cuts and all the melee damage done by his enemies.

How do we recognize this prince Leorik? Easily! He wears a silver ring with his family sign.A black dragon.Oh,didn’t we tell you,that he’s from Normandy? Sorry.So he is from north Normandy.Our prince left the blacksmith and continued his journey to the stables,where he has his black horse called Shadow.He is strong and fast and they enjoy staying together.When Leorik jumped on the horse,Shadow was a little surprised because of his today weight,but in a while they both ran fast as the wind across nearby river.With one eye Leorik watches some fishes in the river and with the other he was always looking for unexpectable enemies.

Then it happend! An arrow flew near Leorik’s head and thrusted in a nearby tree.Leorik full of andrenalin jumped off his Shadow and turns against 4 enemy knight and 2 archers.The knights had a full plate armors,helms and 2 of them had a two-handed swords.The others had only a simple swords but steel shields too.Archers had bows and daggers. When they come closer,Leorik stand in his defence stance near the horse.Then one of the knights attacked! Leorik was faster.The knight with broken shield felt on one side and his hand on the other.He screamed and shouted.The archers fired two arrows from their bows but one arrow missed and the other only scratched Leorik’s ring armor.Then attacked Leorik! Second knight was slained by his superb sword with one massive chop even he had a good armor,it was broken on 2 parts.Third knight blocked Leah’s first attack but the second was more powerful and faster too,so the knight didn’t block attack on his head and his head had a surprised expression when it felt down on the grass. Archers shotted again and this time one of them hitted Leorik’s arm and the blood was falling on the grass while Leorik slained the last knight by a masterfully piercing attack aimed on his chest.The archers don’t wait any long and melee attacked Leorik with their daggers.But as you all know,the ring mail protected well against this poor attack and they were no challenge for our prince of darkness! Then he sadly looked on the dead bodies and whispered a short prayer for the dead. He jumped on the horse and slowly got back to the castle holding his hurted arm,from which was still leaking his blood.

Another Leorik’s common adventure comes to an end.Would you like to be a prince? No? I am not surprised…
